Somnus

Team Size: Twelve

 

Somnus is a 3D puzzle platformer where the player has to manipulate the environment utilizing perspective illusions. The player will learn to align their camera to the proper perspective in order to create, shift, scale, and merge objects in order to complete creative puzzles.

Sole Game Designer, Audio Programmer and Scripter: Blueprints (Unreal)

  • Achieved Top 5 at E3 2016 College Competition, set to feature at DigiPen’s PAX West 2016 Booth.

  • Developed, built, and iterated on the gameplay logic, player goals, and level layouts in order to deliver a compelling player experience.

  • Created in-game hat collection system and its unique interactive user interface.

  • Designed and programmed player focused hint system that facilitated players through gameplay.

  • Planned and implemented various engaging puzzles, matinées, and menus.

  • Supported audio team in technical implementation of events in Wwise through Unreal Engine 4.

Dominate TV

Team Size: Six

 

Dominate TV is a 3D couch play FPS where players are robot contestants competing for points on a game show. Players earn points for each enemy they destroy, which at the end of the round the player with the most points wins that round. At the start of the game players get to build their robot the way they want with interesting powerups.

Level/Game Designer and Scripter: C# (Unity)

  • Developed and refined dynamic levels in Unity for an FPS with a multitude of Power Ups in mind.

  • Designed and polished Power Ups for unique and interesting combinations with other Power Ups

  • Created AI that utilized Finite State Machines for autoplay testing.

  • Programmed menus for Xbox controllers.

Alone

 Team Size: Six

 

Alone is a procedurally generated 2D top-down rogue-like stealth game where the player uses their senses in order to sneak their way through a dark dungeon while avoiding guards and other enemies.

  • Refined and polished content, feedback and UI through continual playtesting.

  • Featured at DigiPen PAX Prime 2015 Booth and nominated to IndieCade 2015.

  • Wrote periodic milestone delivery reports, weekly status reports, and task lists for 6-member team.

  • Programmed Menus in C++ based off inheritance.
